2. SCORING AND PLAYING ORDER

The playing order of every match for the men shall be 3,4,5,2,1, and for the ladies 3,4,2,1 except where arranged by two captains to facilitate the individual event.

Men: Each match counts 25 points. The winning team is awarded 25 points less games dropped in the match. The losing side is awarded the number of games won in the match.Ladies: Each match counts 20 points. The winning team is awarded 20 points

If both teams have the same number of matches and games, points will be counted to determine the winner.Reserves may be used to fill in for another team provided permission is obtained from the tournament referee.Scoring system will be PAR 11 for the Mens A and Mens B section, and all other sections will be PAR 15.

3. SCORE CARDS

Score cards - only 1 score card must be completed, but both captains must sign. The captain of the winning team must drop it in the result boxes. Please sms/whatsapp the result immediately after the fixture to Pieter - 082 694 3731.

4. LEVY

A tournament levy of R430 per player, including reserves and/or manager shall be paid to the North West Squash Racket Association. A levy of R100 for non-players is payable to partake in the first night's function and R100 for Saturday night's function.

5. THE DECISION OF THE TOURNAMENT REFEREE IN ALL MATTERS SHALL BE FINAL.

1. TEAMSAll entries must reach the administrator by 16 February 2015. The names of the players in each team must be handed in in order of strength. Each player must be registered.

2. SCORING AND PLAYING ORDER

2.1. The playing order of every match shall be 4,3,2,1 except where arranged by two captains to facilitate the individual event.

2.2. Each team shall score 1 point for each game won.  The winning team shall receive 1 additional bonus point for every match won.  The losing side is awarded the number of games won in the match.2.3Scoring will be PAR 15 for Reserve and Second leagues. Premier league will play PAR 11.

Both captains must fax/fill in on website and send/email the scorecards to the league organizer.

A levy of R170 per team to the North West Squash Racket Association. A levy of R25 per player must also be paid. If the fee is not paid by 28 February 2015, that team will not be allowed to play.

5. ANY DISPUTES WILL BE DECIDED BY THE NW EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE.

6. GENERAL RULES

1 May - 31 August - Double yellow dot ball.

  1. Players are asked to please try and stick to the scheduled times arranged by the organisers. Players to arrive at courts at least 15 minutes before their scheduled match.
  2. All matches to be played at assigned venues. Matches may not be played after scheduled time/date.
  3. The High Altitude ball will be used for all matches.
  4. Entry fee is R150.00 per player, payable in advance.
  5. Schedules may be altered or delayed at the organiser’s discretion.
  6. Matches will be best of five games. General Rules for Squash Rackets as approved by S.A. Squash will apply.
  7. All entry fees to be paid on entry in NW Squash account - Noordwes Muurbal Unie, Absa, Potchefstroom, 1044160249, Current account.
  8. All players will be expected to mark before or after their games.
  9. Players to supply own balls.
  10. Rules for participation in the North West Closed Tournament: To qualify to participate in the North West Closed Tournament a player must abide to all 3 points below:
    1. A Player must be a paid up member of an affiliated North West club.
    2. A Player must:
      1. Stay in the province - (meaning you stay in the province for the greater part of the week. Full time students who study elsewhere but stay in North West during weekends and holidays are also considered as residents of NW province), or
      2. Participate in the league - Saturday league or Winter league.
    3. A player may not have transferred to another province or be available for another province for Jarvis/Kaplan. An exception will however be made for those players if that player:
      1. is available to represent North West at the Mielieland tournament.
      2. abide to point 10.1 and 10.2 above.
